Charles Skelley was born on Nov 16, 1948, in Toledo Ohio to parents with German and Scotch-Irish ancestry.  My grandparents were farmers in a rural area; but my parents moved into the city during the Great Depression, and became accountants.  My schooling was in Toledo Ohio. I graduated with Honors and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Toledo in 1971.  After college I served in the Army Security Agency (with a Top Secret Crypto security clearance) during 1971-1974, and was stationed behind the Iron Curtain during the Cold War.  The Army gave me linguistic and transcultural training for both Russian and Arabic languages, in addition to cryptography   Then during 1976-1977, I lived full-time in Isfahan Iran as a civilian attached to the F15/Phoenix military aircraft project.  After returning to the US, I worked on AMRAAM, Phoenix, Roland, DIVAD, and Sparrow missile projects for the GM Hughes aerospace company.  I once served as a Director in a venture capital company for small investors. Recently I have been self-employed.  My interests include applied mathematics, science, investing, and ancient civilizations.
